RESEARCH
Patient-friendly: Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism published a study showing that acupuncture may help overweight individuals with Type 2 diabetes better manage their condition. Researchers found that a three-month course of acupuncture safely improved how the body uses insulin, allowing patients to successfully lower their daily insulin doses while maintaining healthy blood sugar levels.
