A methodological review of acupuncture for chronic atrophic gastritis

Frontiers in Medicine published a methodological review of 55 trials analyzing acupuncture modalities for chronic atrophic gastritis in 5,311 patients. Researchers found significant heterogeneity in how clinical success is measured. While most studies utilize gastric function tests, imaging, and TCM syndrome scores to track progress, there is a severe lack of data on patient-reported quality of life and long-term prognosis. Standardizing these outcome measures is needed to improve clinical translation.
