Patient-friendly: A study published in the Cureus Journal of Medical Science examined acupuncture added to physical therapy for post-stroke hand spasms. Patients receiving both treatments showed greater improvements in hand movement and pain compared to physical therapy alone. These findings suggest acupuncture may help support recovery and make rehabilitation more effective after stroke.
